A disability is a person with full human dignity. They have reason and heart, dream, imagination, creativity, desire to integrate and serve society… There have been many people with disabilities who overcame physical disabilities to take care of themselves, to earn a living. Their strength is astonishing. Pope Francis said that each disabled person is a precious treasure, open and make this treasure grow and give to others and receive precious things from others. Therefore, Caritas Da Lat's Program to Support Disabilities People Integration into the Community wishes to support more skills and motivating people with disabilities to develop themselves confidently and promote their potentials and help them build a strong community of disabilities, grow together, contribute to their families and society.

Caritas Da Lat's Support for Disabilities Integration Program is part of Caritas Vietnam's Community Integration Support for People with Disabilities project, which has been implemented since 2014 and has gone through 2 phases of the project. Since starting the project in 2014, Caritas Da Lat has contacted and worked with the first association of people with disabilities, the Da Lat City Association of People with Disabilities. Then there are local associations such as Don Duong, Duc Trong and up to now have worked with 9 associations in Lam Dong province. Support associations in training necessary skills according to the needs of associations. Starting from 2020, associations will join together to participate in a series of Learning Exchange Forums lasting for 2 years (2020-2022) this is the first time all Associations have the opportunity to share and better understand each other, as well as develop plans and learn together in the coming years. In addition, the program also cooperates with other disabilities facilities such as 2 disabilities homes, Ho Tung Mau Blind Shelter of Congregation of the Cross Lovers Thu Duc and Mai Anh Disability School of The Daughters of Charity, in organizing cultural exchange programs, painting, music, etc. on special occasions such as Christmas, Mid-Autumn Festival, Lunar new year Festival…
