The Trong Duc project is operated by Caritas Da Lat with the goal of providing a complete health care system model to enhance the dignity and improving the quality of patient’s lives at Trong Duc Social Protection Facility in Duc Trong district and Lam Dong province. Four dimensions that ensure complete development that is physical and mental health, social needs and spiritual needs are met. Therefore, in parallel with the daily distribution of medicine, we apply practical methods in helping patients practicing basic habits such as washing hands, brushing teeth, washing dishes, cleaning the house, reading books. Rosary making, crafts, and sports are organized to help brothers learn the techniques and be patient. In addition, they also learn to meet the social and spiritual needs, allowed to attend Mass, offer flowers, and recite prayers together. Festivals of Christmas, Easter, Lunar New Year, etc. are held every year for the men and women facilities as well. Besides that, a core group was formed with monthly meetings that included activities to help the patients with light symptoms to quickly recover and return to their families. The patients who have returned home will continue be accompanied so that they can create a support network among themselves in helping each other.
